The educators of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Pratapgarh Campus had the privilege of attending an enriching workshop on Education through Monuments (ETM) at Hotel Clarks Avadh today. The session was conducted by Mr. Sandeep Sethi, a renowned trainer and former Education Officer, CBSE, along with being an NTA Convenor and curator of academic festivals for over seven years.
This two-hour interactive session brought together school principals and academic leaders with the objective of introducing the ETM framework, demonstrating curriculum integration, and planning its implementation across schools in Lucknow.
The workshop offered deep insights into integrating subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Art through monuments, transforming them into dynamic learning spaces. Educators explored how monuments can serve as “living laboratories” to make teaching more experiential, interdisciplinary, and engaging.
Aligned closely with the philosophy of NCERT’s Kaushal Bodh, the ETM approach promotes applied understanding, skill development, and real-world competencies among learners. It encourages students to observe, analyse, and interpret their surroundings, thereby fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, spatial awareness, cultural literacy, and scientific inquiry.
The workshop was organised by UNIFUSION under the able guidance of Dr. Shishir Srivastava.
The session proved to be highly insightful and inspiring, equipping educators with innovative strategies to move beyond traditional teaching methods and create meaningful learning experiences.
